Ecommerce Terms and Conditions
The sale and purchase of products via this website is governed by a contract between you and us, formed when you place an order and payment has been received via Paypal, cheque or BACS.
Mother’s Milk Books Ltd is a small independent publisher and is run by a tiny team, so we can only work within human time constraints. Orders will be sent out as soon as possible. We endeavour, but do not guarantee, to send items out within 48 hours. We use Royal Mail and a variety of couriers to fulfil our dispatch requirements. We reserve the right to use good quality recycled packaging if it is appropriate to do so.
For small orders we ship by Royal Mail. For larger orders we may use a courier. By placing an order you accept that Royal Mail’s normal 15 working day lost parcel rules apply. In the event of the item going missing in the post, we will be required to give it 15 working days to arrive; if it does not arrive in this time, we will refund or replace the order.
Mother’s Milk Books Ltd is bound by the distance selling rules laid down by Trading Standards. In this respect you are entitled to return goods, as long as they are in unused, resale-able condition, within seven days of receipt for a full refund if they do not suit your needs. This does not include the cost of return postage.
Kindle ebooks are supplied via our seller account on www.amazon.co.uk. PDFs are supplied via our own website via email.
If you wish to return an item, it should be complete, unused and in resale-able condition. Items may be returned at customer’s own cost within 7 days and a refund for the items returned will be issued by the method most appropriate to the original method of payment. If the items are returned within 7 days, a full refund will be given.
In addition to the above rules as laid down by Trading Standards Distance Selling Regulations, we will accept returned items up to 28 days from purchase so long as they are as new and in unused condition. The cost of p&p will not be refunded. If you wish to return an item please contact us with your order number, name, product and reason for return.
Returning Faulty Items
In the unlikely event that an item is not as described or is faulty or damaged, we will request the item back and a full refund will be given on receipt. The customer is advised to obtain recorded delivery status or proof of posting.
If you change your mind after placing your order and wish to cancel, you may do so. You must email or call as soon as possible as a cancellation cannot be accepted after dispatch. Please bear in mind that we endeavour to dispatch parcels as soon as possible so if you delay in contacting us the item may already have been dispatched. Cancellations received before dispatch will incur no fee or handling charge. Please note, cancellations received after dispatch will be handled as per our returns policy without exception.
