Mother’s Milk Books is a small, family-run press that publishes high-quality, beautiful books for adults and children that normalize breastfeeding and celebrate femininity and empathy. There are very few books on the market that illustrate the natural beauty of the breastfeeding mother-child dyad, and we at Mother’s Milk Books would like to change that!

Baby X, the debut novel by Rebecca Ann Smith which is a “feminist Brave New World for the twenty-first century” has been awarded the Eric Hoffer Da Vinci Eye for superior cover art, the Eric Hoffer First Horizon Award for superior work by a debut author, as well as being the winner of the Commercial Fiction category of the overall book prize. Baby X was also recently shortlisted for the International Rubery Book Award. The novel has gained many excellent reviews, with Amazon bestselling author, Emily Organ writing:

“Rebecca has written an extremely thought-provoking tale about science and motherhood which made me question whether the two can ever be compatible. It’s a sophisticated debut which raises more questions than it answers. It will leave you thinking long after you’ve finished the last page.”
